Facilitator Training

The intensive 3-day training offers a supportive, retreat-like setting, and a lively exchange of ideas and discussion about how to address the unique needs of each team and community. The faculty includes specialists in disciplines such as self-efficacy, psychology, counseling, facilitation, medicine and self-care.

Teams learn about the scientific basis of self-efficacy (which the program is based on), program management essentials, and how to facilitate PD SELF in their communities. Teams receive instruction on how to present the topics in the curriculum (see curriculum). The training focus is on the facilitation and program management skills. Optional personal coaching is available.
